How to avoid being sacked when using hyper-personalisation
Last week, Agillic CXO Rasmus Houlind spoke at the MAD//Anywhere global digital martech conference. The conference hosted speakers from O2, Ben and Jerry’s, Unilever, Roku, Vice, Weight Watchers and many more.
Houlind discussed how marketers can reap the benefits of hyper-personalisation while minimising the risks – and avoiding being fired.
Gartner predicts that 80% of marketers will abandon personalisation due to lack of ROI.
Houlind attests that this abandoned potential can be avoided if marketers learn not to have blind faith in personalisation. Instead, marketers must take a strategic approach and balance reach with relevance, and seasonal marketing with lifecycle marketing.
